Talon (my book series) now has a first book rough draft of 217 pages, and is still plowing on. I think I'm almost to the middle (think...almost...hehe ), and planning continues to develop almost on its own. Writing for Talon has become a daily, very time-consuming affair, but somehow it keeps me sane .

Aside from the usual work, I've also been developing a new story idea inspired from the Muse song, Starlight . Funny enough, its working title is Starlight. The setting and story are so incredible that I really need to practice simpler, more elegant writing styles before I am ready to start doing writing for it. Until then character development is a big job, since this story centers more strongly on the theme and setting. I write my stories for my characters, so I need them there and a lot stronger before any real writing can start.

Another new development has been my family trees for Talon. The main characters for the three books are mostly in the second generation, with a few older, minor characters in the first. However, the rapidly expanding trees carry on as far as the fifth generation. Most of the characters and storylines that have spun off of them will by only for me, and most likely won't be published. Despite that, it's fun to see my main characters legacy carried through to future generations of mutants, and some of them are very intriguing people.
